Checking In: 38 Weeks and waiting...

How far along? 38 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: I've lost count and don't even care anymore.

Maternity clothes? definitely yes

Stretch marks? I think maybe a few small ones on my hips.  I have been paying extra special attention to those spots when lotioning up in the AM and PM.

Sleep: Ever two hours at night in between waking up to pee and to turn over.

Best moment this week: My Dr. saying - what are you doing here, I thought you would have had the baby by now???

Movement: yes, stretches and sticks his little bum out under my ribs.  Makes it hard to breathe but is so darn cute!

Food cravings: Anything cold.

Gender: BOY!!!!

Labor Signs: Had some false labor contractions I was able to time.  30 seconds each every 10 minutes but they went away.

Belly Button in or out? still in, guess it's not coming out.

What I miss: being able to sleep straight through the night. My old body and agility.

What I am looking forward to: meeting my baby and getting back into shape!

Shower Thank You's

Here are some pictures of my shower thank you's.  They were designed by RockPaperDove on Etsy.  I had them printed and matched up the envelopes and lables at Paper Source.

Checking In: 37 Weeks and Bags are Packed!

How far along? 37 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Last appointment it was 26lbs.

Maternity clothes? definitely yes

Stretch marks? not yet, but I'm not sure how much more my belly can stretch

Sleep: It seems I'm always tired and not really able to sleep.

Best moment this week: Best moment last week was finding out I am 1cm dilated and 60% effaced!  Woohoo!  Progress!  Also, getting those bags packed for the hospital and the diaper bag:

Movement: yes, he's so strong!

Food cravings: Anything cold.

Gender: BOY!!!!

Labor Signs: no

Belly Button in or out? still in, I was sure it would be out by now.

What I miss: being able to sleep straight through the night. My old body and agility.

Nursery Update

Below are pictures of the toy chest/book shelf we bought from Land of Nod with our 15% registry completion discount. I loved the navy color and think it ties the green closet in with the rest of the room. Right now it holds extra diapers and wipes but soon enough will be holding lots of toys!

Here are a few pictures of the rest of the room.  We are still waiting on our glider, curtains, and lamp from Pottery Barn Kids.

My Eastern Shore Shower

I had a great time at my 1st shower.  I loved seeing everyone and talking baby talk with all the moms.

Tyler got lots of goodies.

All my favorite foods. Who am I kidding, ALL my favorite foods wouldn't fit on one table. :-)

The awesome cake to fit the nautical theme:

Checking In: 36 Weeks

How far along? 36 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Last appointment it was 24lbs.

Maternity clothes? definitely yes

Stretch marks? no

Sleep: It's getting harder to sleep and I find that I have to wake up to flip over.  So I'm up just about every 2 hours.  I guess it's my body's way of preparing me for what is to come??

Best moment this week: Breastfeeding Class - I am both intrigued and mystified by everything surrounding this.  I look at all the crazy apparatus in the store and have no idea where to even begin.  I'm looking forward to getting some insight.

Movement: yes, he's so strong!

Food cravings: Ice Cream and anything with ice cream in it.  I normally don't even like ice cream that much.

Gender: BOY!!!!

Labor Signs: no

Belly Button in or out? still in, I was sure it would be out by now.

What I miss: being able to sleep straight through the night. I have to wake up to roll over.

What I am looking forward to: the end of all classes and baby related tasks on my to-do list.  And getting all my back ordered items on Pottery Barn Kids registry!
