Tyler's 8 month stats

Bedtime:  still 8:30pm.

Wake Up Time: 7:00/7:30am.

Naps: Three naps around 9am, 1-2pm, and 6pm. He was napping really well until this last weekend.  I guess it's the teeth that are coming through.

Bottles: 6 ounce bottles of formula, nursing has ended.  He's on lots of solid food now - 2 to 3 times a day.

Meals/Solids: He eats solids 2-3 times a day.

New Foods: ginger carrots, apples with cinnamon, and puffs.

Developmental Milestones & "Firsts": 2 teeth!!. I caught him climbing up the stairs last week (he was onthe 5th stair).  We have since put up baby gates. He's so fast! He is still fascinated with Roomba and looks for him under the pacnplay (where Roomba's charger is).  He also likes to climb up on the TV and touch it.  He knows he's not supposed to and will get down when I scold him.

Favorite Toys: Play and Learn table, still loves his zebra.

Tyler has teeth!

Tyler went to sleep on April 2nd and woke up with a tooth!  Then the next night same thing - another tooth!  Poor little man must have been in pain (I guess that is why he's not really napping so well).  I guess he will have a big toothy grin really soon.  Man, how time flies!

Tyler was very busy today...

He found the liquor!  I knew it was only a matter of time before he found it.  I guess we better find a better liquor cabinet.

Tyler's 7 month stats

Bedtime: 8:30pm.

Some babies go to bed earlier but 8:30 really seems to work for him.  Now that he is sleeping through the night he wakes up a little earlier - 6-6:30am.  That has been a difficult adjustment for this Mama!

Wake Up Time: 6:00/6:30am.

Naps: Three naps around 8-9am, 12-1pm, and 4pm.  Napping has become difficult over the last two weeks. Not sure if it's his runny nose that is bothering him or if he has just decided that small half hour - 45min naps work for him.

Bottles: He drinks mostly 6ounces at a time unless he has also had breast milk.  He's on lots of solid food now - 2 to 3 times a day.

Meals/Solids: He has had rice cereal, oatmeal, carrots, squash, sweet potato, apples, pears, prunes, peas, and today tried bananas for the first time in his mesh feeder.  He seems to really like that thing.  Tonight I put two ice cubes in it and he went to town on it!

New Foods: Oatmeal, bananas, peas, pears, and prunes

Developmental Milestones & "Firsts": still teething but nothing breaking through yet. He's crawling all over the place and climbing up the stairs.  He's so fast!  He has started shaking his bottle.  He sees me do it (to shake up the formula) and decided he likes doing it, too.

Favorite Toys: Mr Brown Can Moo book, still loves his zebra, Mr. Monkey, and Sophie the giraffe.

Photo Shoot and Other Items on the Agenda

I've signed Tyler up for a photoshoot with my favorite baby photographer, Kristin Staples.  She is able to capture kids at their cutest and has the patience of a saint.  I am so excited for this Easter Shoot, she is going to have live chicks and bunnies!  I wonder what Tyler will think of the little critters? I'' be sure to post pictures as soon as I get them.

We have also signed up in the lottery to participate in the White House Easter Egg Roll.  Keep your fingers crossed that we get in - what an amazing event it will be!

Tyler Laughing

This video is awful - shot from my iphone it is sideways and sometimes you can't even see him but I just love the sound of him laughing.

Great Weekend in Baltimore

This weekend we packed up the car and headed to Baltimore to hang out with some of our favorite people from Casa Rainer.  our first destination on the itinerary: the Baltimore Aquarium.  I was a little reluctant at first.  I know it takes several hours to get through all the exibits and I wasnt sure how Tyler was going to handle all that time in a baby bjorn (strollers arent allowed).  We made it through and he got to experience lots of deep sea creatures for the first time - so much fun to see new things through his eyes.  Afterwards we headed to Power Plant Live for dinner at Luckies Tavern and to celebrate Dana's birthday.  We had so much fun we stayed the night and hung out all of Sunday, too!  Thanks for the great weekend getaway Rainer family!

Jellyfish

These kids were the definition of perpetual motion.  It was hard to get a clear picture of  them.  Tyler loved every minute of it!
